Why Isn't Brian Fuentes In Dodger Blue?

The Dodgers have been very vocal about their search for a left-handed reliever this summer. So I am wondering why did I saw a tweet by Dylan Hernandez that the Dodgers aren't interested in Brian Fuentes. No, not a trade, that I could understand. Fuentes is a free agent after being released by the Oakland A's earlier today. Here's the kicker, Fuentes would only have to be signed for the pro-rated league minimum to obtain his services. No risk. Well a couple hundred thousand dollars, but that's certainly a smart gamble, right? You would certainly think so. Any trade the Dodgers may be hoping to make is going to cost prospects and require the franchise to take on payroll. I understand the Dodgers thinking here, obviously Scott Elbert hasn't dominated left-handed hitters the way they had hoped he would.
